My wife and I met back in 2004 through e-harmony before dating apps were cool or apps were even a thing.

Our first several years together were a whirlwind.

• Met in June of ’04
• Engaged January of ’05
• Married November ’05
• Found out we were having a baby 4 days after getting our first puppy in May ’06
• Bought a house December ’06
• Oldest child arrived January ’07
• Second child arrive April ’09
• Youngest child arrive December ’10

For years, I was an ok husband, ok dad and had an ok job that paid well. I would get up every morning and sit in traffic to go to a job that was good but unfulfilling.

I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was not living up to my potential and being the complete man that my wife, my kids and, quite frankly, I deserved.

I decided that I needed to be more intentional with my life and my marriage. I created the identity for myself that I had dreamed of being and knew that I had the potential to become.

I started working on creating the best me for our marriage and for myself.

I lost 30 pounds and I am intentionally dating my wife again.

I learned how to communicate with her better and have the hard conversations to better our lives, increase our intimacy and dream together.
